Question SSD Enclosures

So I just got a new SSD and need to transfer everything using an enclosure and macrium reflect. Does it matter which kind of enclosure works with SSDs. I was planning on using an orico transparent m.2 nvme enclosure. Will this one work fine for my samsung ssd?

If it says "m.2 nvme" and your Samsung is also m.2 nvme than there's no reason not to work.

if possible, try to find a M.2 enclosure equipped with the Realtek RTL 9210 chipset or any ASMedia chips. I learned the hard way Jmicron chips are unstable as heck. It can disconnect in the middle of the transfer.

As Pextaxmx well said, if possible, prefer M.2 enclosure with Realtek or ASMedia. Orico is cute 😉 but sometimes "may" become unstable. I have been using an Orico Sata 2179U3 (JMS578) with a heatsink for over a year. When I need to transfer folders larger than 30GB I always cross my fingers 😉 because sometimes it gets "hanging" and I have to pull out the usb cable. 🙁

Given certain other things, buying an enclosure may not be needed.

But we need some actual details.
