SSD Error in Event Viewer

I've been noticing my computer acting odd over the past few weeks since the Windows 10 Creators update, namely programs crashing for no obvious reason. I was able to pinpoint it to what appears to be an error with either my SSD or HDD. In the Event Viewer, there is warning after warning with one of the following descriptions;

The IO operation at logical block address 0x2a6ba20 for Disk 1 (PDO name: \Device\00000056) was retried.

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation.

I thought it was the SSD since the only things struggling are programs running off the SSD (my HDD only has pictures and Word/Excel docs on it), but the harddisk warning has me confused. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks!

pretty good chance the harddisk could be an ssd or a hdd, I don't think windows is that specific in that field

what brand ssd/hdd are they? some brands have their own software for testing drives

otherwise you can use a generic tester like the free version of Hdtune - http://www.hdtune.com/
or Crystaldiskmark - http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskMark/index-e.html

check the smart scores of both drives gives a clue how they are. i think crystaldiskmark shows smart scores via the settings menu.
