Hello , I have a problem with my SSD that for no reason takes space and I have it only 2 months.
I checked through the folders and only have like 40.3 gb taken but if I click properties in the ssd it says it has 163 taken. Any help is appreciated.

Solution
Large amounts of "missing space" like that are almost always due to System Restore. The space it takes does not show up as files.
Start -> Computer -> right click -> Properties -> System Protection -> Configure

I'll bet the slider is set to 50%, which would be 116 GB of your drive. Move it down to some sane value, like 5-10 GB. That will delete all the older system restore points and free up a huge chunk of your drive space.

If this is a desktop, or a laptop and you don't use hibernate, consider disabling it. That'll free up an amount of disk space equal to your RAM.

You can remove temp files by clicking the Disk Cleanup button next to the pie graph in your...

You can remove temp files by clicking the Disk Cleanup button next to the pie graph in your pic. That'll remove temp files, cache files, and system log files.

Within Disk Cleanup there's another button called Clean Up System Files. Best to leave that one alone if you have a lot of space. But if you should ever run critically low on space, you can click it. What it does is delete the uninstall files for all the Microsoft updates which have been installed. Typically it frees up 2-4 GB, but I've seen as much as 17 GB freed. Beware that this is an irreversible process - once you delete the uninstall files, you cannot uninstall any previously-installed updates. So make damn sure the system is stable and none of the updates are causing any problems before you click this button.

Solution
It is obvious that TEMP files are not the issue here. You can see that TEMP folder is included in the taken space calculation. It is either system restore or virtual memory getting out of hand (i.e. Samsung Magician on performance mode can turn up the virtual memory to tens of gigabytes for no reason).
