fter downloading the firmware installation package, extract
the zip file. If you are running Windows OS, browse to the
extracted folder and launch Mushkin_FieldUpdater.exe with admin-
istrative privileges. If SF_FieldUpdater is not launched with
administrative privileges, the Chronos SSD(s) will not be dis-
covered by the updater. If running Linux, launch
SF_FieldUpdater_v1.2_FC14-32Bit.
did you run it with admin rights?? before you flashed the drive did you check to see if the firmware was at 5.02??
did you connect the drive to an intel sata controler. some mb use a thrid party controller and it may glitch the update. also check to see that the sata ports are set to achi not ide.
I checked, and the firmware was 5.0.1. I tried running with admin permissions but it still failed. It said that the firmware folder does not contain the right software update file.
check that the file in your download for your firmware says 5.0.2 when you use winzip or any other program to unzip it. i just download it from the ssd vendor web page and the file says 5.02. i would try from another pc and download and unzip the firmware to a usb stick. if it fails again i would contact the ssd vendor for help.
