After months of perfect usage my built started giving me one problem (just for background info): sometimes the external hard drive I'd plug in would be recognized/not recognized without reason (still happens every once in a while). Next problem out of the blue: freeze and 0xF4 and 0x7A blue screens (Not anymore).
Then a black screen, messed up sound and then it would come back after a few seconds frozen and would either reboot itself or you'd have to reboot it (no BSOD, no dump file).I have Win 7 ultimate in my ssd. I downloaded a fix from Microsoft and it seemed to help although it happened a few more times (though not as often). When does it happen? Anytime, while heavy browsing, inactivity, watching videos, just checking email, etc.
Then a couple of months ago I installed openSuse in my other HDD. Everything was fine for a lil bit but then, the black screen problem happened again (in both win 7 and openSuse). Except now, in win 7 after hard start it won't "see" the ssd after reboot unless you:
-unplug/plug the ssd again OR
- fully turn off and on the computer
And even then, when it "sees" it and you can log in, it will freeze (no black screen) and the desktop looks like a lag from the 90s... and then sometimes it works fine.
Black screen happens in opensuse too but then comes back and it's not frozen. Rarely does it freeze and means hard start and even when it does it never stops "seeing" the HDD. However! When win 7 crashes as indicated above, I get some disk errors, corrupted files in HDD (videos) which as fixed during disk check. This disk errors seem to occur in the ssd too and show "deleting an index entry from index $0 of file 25".
My first build:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB SATA3
Tacens Radix VI 550W
SanDisk SDSSDP-128G- G25
Kingston HyperX blu 8GB
Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5Ghz
No extra graphic or video cards.
TP-Link Nano TL-WN725N (now I have lan cable to the modem though)
Things done:
Updated firmware/drivers for both ssd and HDD. Tested them for errors.
Reinstalled win7 (freezing error happened right after)
Obvs antivirus checks in safe mode, spybot, ccleaner.
Memtest86 - all good.
I've unplugged the HDD and only run win 7. It still failed and wasn't recognizes upon reboot.
Checked temperatures, everything seems within the boundaries of normal.
I've tried to repair win7, check for memory errors, defragmentation, lots of disk checks. Says it fine, let's me log in and then freezes.
I have no idea what to do. I'm all ready to buy whatever to fix this... 🙁 I thought it might be the ssd but then, I have a similar/same problem in my HDD?
