SSD & HDD making the HDD primary storage

Solution
You should put the OS on the SSD. And MS Office. Then use HDD for everything else. If things are installing on the SSD is it cuz of your save location?

You can't have a legal copy of Windows on SSD and HDD. You only need it on one or the other.

How do you make the HDD the default then. Thats basically what I am trying to do so that the SSD does not get filled up daily with nonsense, just the few things I want to load quickly.

Do a google search for "how to change default save location in windows 8". I still use Windows 7, so not sure what's different in 8.
