Hello

I have a Samsung QVO 870 1tb as boot drive. I got in december, and since then, according to CRystal disk and Hard Disk Sentinel, its health is rapidly declining
It was 95% in January, 93% in Feb and now it's 90%.

Should I be concerned?

No, it's more like a hobby, not that often.

Also, the SSD is cloned from a previous SSD of a different brand, and since then I flahsed the BIOS a couple of times and upgraded to WIN 11. Maybe that affects it?

Also, here is my SMART reading

Writing about .08 TB per hour if I read that right.

If 88 TB is accurate.

Circa 80 GB per hour.

Some process pounding on the disk.

I noticed yesterday that my writing rate had quadrupled in the last 2 years. Discovered via Task Manager it was because about 2 years ago, I bought a TV tuner and have watched a lot of TV on my PC....it's always writing a bit if I'm watching.

Get on top of your processes and disk activity.

Yup, I posted top three and bottom three I believe

Any chance of malware?

Sure.

The writing may occur only when you do certain things on the PC.

I'd do normal activities while watching that disk activity in Task Manager with your best eye. Sorted so the highest percentage is at the top.

You might also take a look at the Startup tab to see what is loading every time you boot the PC. Could be something odd in there.
