I have an intel SSDSC2KW240H6 which comes in at 256 Gb which post format only has 128 Gb available to it as seen in below screenshots:

Solution

Not in the registry.

Possibly diskpart, but the fact that Disk Management reports exactly what a 128GB drive should look like, and does NOT show any unallocated space leads me to a potential mislabeled drive.

open Powershell
Diskpart
List disk
see what it returns.

This is the output from mine:

I am guessing that you used a cloning software to create the volume on the 240 GB disk. You didn't tell the clone software to resize the volume to the maximum size. Is that a correct guess ? Why the other 100GB doesn't show as an unitialized volume? I don't know.

Since Removing it I did as Kanewolf suspected and used a cloning software which was originally supposed to expand the volume to the correct size but it has been 128Gb ever since.

Note: I honestly cannot remember what it read as prior to cloning I didnt even check honestly.

Is it possible to manually allocate this through the command line utility Diskpart or via registry?

That being said this means I can probably expand it via diskpart I would assume

Well, Googling the model number you provided indicates that it should be a 240GB drive. Perhaps you got a mis-labeled unit. What does it show for capacity in the BIOS?

In bios it shows correctly as a 240 I believe

I figured it out!

I ended up downloading the ISO for Gparted and running it on my computer which allowed me to manually edit the bit offsets of the partitions as to allow the partition the span the entire drive. Everything is working correctly now thank you for all your help guys!
