Question SSD not being detected in BIOS / Windows 10 install

My new Samsung 870 QVO 1TB SSD isn't showing up in my BIOS or when installing windows 10. I've checked the cables with a different SSD and that is detected, so I don't think its an issue with the cables. My motherboard is a z390 Aorus Elite. Any ideas?

I’m now on my second SSD as I thought the first one I purchased may have been broken, but I’m still getting the same results

Can't boot from M.2 NVMe SSD

I had a Samsung 850 SSD (SATA) with Windows 10 on it. I bought Samsung 970 SSD (M.2). Turned off the computer, plugged it in, inserted a bootable USB stick with Windows 10 on it. Went directly to BIOS and changed boot priority to boot from the stick. Then, I installed Windows 10 on the new drive...

However my SSD is still not being listed in the boot sequence in my BIOS. Under SATA is says No Device Found
