SSD not detected in boot list/option but detected everywhere else

Hi all!
I recently purchased the Samsung 840 SSD.
This are my steps.

1) Started my computer, went into BIOS and changed from IDE to AHCI
2) Powered off and disconnected existing HDD
3) Connected new SSD(Samsung 840) using existing SATA cable that was attached to existing HDD
4) Installed OS(Windows 7; used the same CD when I bought it 6 months ago)
5) Went into windows, installed a few games and all was fine
6) Powered off, disconnected existing SATA cable from SSD(samsung 840)
7) Connected exisitng SATA cable to exisitng HDD
8) Connected brand new SATA cable to SSD(Samsung 840)
9) Powered on, went into BIOS, then boot list and the SSD was not in that list
10) Entered into "System Browser" in BIOS and could see the SSD was detected
11) Entered into "Storage" options and it was detected along with existing HDD.

So basically, I can't see the SSD in the boot list but I can see it everywhere else so now I had to boot into my existing HDD and Windows on this existing HDD has detected the SSD(Samsung 840) and installed it as a drive.

Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate Professional Media Center 6.01.7601 Service Pack 1 (64-bit)

Make sure the SSD is in SATA port 0 and HDD is port 1 and try again. Try different ports as well. Disconnect the SATA cable from HDD and try. If it boots with only the SSD, try the HDD in port 2, leaving SSD in port 0.

If HDD OS was installed using ide mode, Then fix it
1) disconnect SSD.
Reset bios back to IDE
2) Boot to OS on HDD.
Fix the problem (Ignor title, just select eith A) Fix it or B) let me fix it:

After fix, reboot, But change IDE back to AHCI.
If OK, then Power off and re-install SSD.
SSD should be on INTELs sata 6 first port.
Set boot priority to SSD
Hopefully taht will fix it.

Okay. I sorta figured it out.
1) changed the SSD sata cable to port 0 and changed the HDD to port 1
2) There is a BBS properties that lets u choose which drive to boot from so if i choose the SSD as the first priority, the HDD doesn't show up in the BIOS boot list and vice versa. either way, i can choose which drive to boot from at the start screen.
