SSD not showing correct free space

I noticed the other day that I don't think my SSD is showing the correct free space number. I deleted a two games off my SSD which should have been around 60gb total, but instead it gave me about 30 gb back total. I also deleted something else around 11 gb, and it gave me 6 back. And one more time as I'm writing this I uninstalled a 28 gb download only getting about 26 back. Please someone help.

I would also like to add that I downloaded a game about four days ago before I thought something was up and the amount of space did not change from the time before the download and after.

This is hard to explain for me as I been asking this question over and over and at the end realized that the numbers are correct. SSDs do not give back space as they would with HDD. They write information in cells. If they write something to a cell and space is left, they do not add to that cell and move on to the new cell. Space that you get back depends on where the drive put the data initially. It can not add anything to the cells that already been in use. It has Trim to compact the data but Trim is not working well, so space just disappears.

But also check your Recycle Been and empty it, delete temporary files.

There are different programs that able to calculate your folder sizes. One I remember is File Tree or FileTree, but be careful not to select malware program.

Also, Uninstall software is not always deletes all files. You may have to go and manually delete associated data folders.
