SSD Not showing up anywhere

I have just got my sandisk SSD 120gb and i cannot find it in the device manager or Bios. I have tried connecting the SSD to different sata ports and tried the new cable i ordered for it on a different hard drive which worked. Any help would be highly appreciated.

If you have tried different (and new) sata cables, make sure the sata POWER cable is connected. If you still have no joy with the SSD showing up, it could just be a bad SSD - if it was purchased new, return it and get a new one.

It should not be the power cable as i tried it on my HDD which worked with the cable i am using for my SSD. I think it is a bad SSD. UPDATE: I think it is working but not showing as i disconnected any cables connected to my SSD, then my pc shutdown 10-20 seconds later.
