I recently built a new PC and I wanted to use one of the SSD's from my old rig, in my new one. I thought it also might be a good way to transfer some important files on my other system onto my new one.
Bear in mind that the SSD I am using was NOT my Operating System disk, and therefore it should be accessible like every other drive.
I used an M.2 SSD as a boot disk for my new build, and that showed up just fine. I have made sure the old SSD is both hooked up and plugged into a SATA port - but it still does not want to show up anywhere in Windows or the BIOS.
Is there something I'm missing? Cheers.
