hey guys i need some help im very smart with pcs but im stumped i have a pavilion 690 gaming pc and i bought a ssd for just 2 my games i play so i got to install bought a new sata cable and ssd used the other sata power bridged off my hdd pluged them in and booted up and device manager wont show the ssd nor driver management so i read up that the sata port could b disabled so i did a lil test i unpluged my hdd from hhd 0 sata port and put it in 1 i put the ssd in 0 and i swaped out the sata power cables put the one that was orignially on the hdd to the ssd and spare on hdd booted up and i could feel the ssd working lil vibration which i didnt feel before when i booted up but the pc wouldnt boot up and the monitor went to sleep because it couldnt boot the os so im thinking that the ssd is fine and wires are fine i just need to enable my sata hdd 1 port in my bios but i have no clue where to go to do that i booted up pressed f2 and it brought me to a scree where i could run test and see what i had update bios exct but wouldnt let me change the bios or enable ports or anything so any help would b lovely i really want to get my ssd working im not trying to transfer my os to the ssd just simply going to use it for games so do not need to swap over files just need to get this sata port working ? thanks any info is appreciated my system specs are ryzen 5 2400 g with vega graphics 8gig ram windows 10 my pc is a hp pavilion 690 there are three sata ports one for the optical my dvd drive and two for hdd one dark blue one light the hdd0 is the dark and the hdd1 is light hdd0 is the one that is hooked to my hdd and has my os which is the one i connected the ssd to and it def felt like it booted but couldnt tell due to os obv not being able to load cause i was simply testing the port
