SSD on PS3?

hello, i dont know if this is the right place to ask this question. so can i put an ssd in my ps3, or generally mess with the hd of play station? thank you

Yes, any SATA 2.5" drive will fit in a PS3. If you just swap it, you will need a USB key to download the PS3 firmware on to install on the new drive. If you want to backup your saved data, you'll need an external drive or usb key with enough space.
