I have a desktop built
Current specs are
CPU- i7-4790S
Mobo- ASUS H81M-e
RAM- 5GB DDR3 (One 1GB stick and One 4GB stick both 1333)
HDD- 1TB 7200 HDD and 320GB 7200 HDD

I have a dual boot set up hackintosh and windows 10, i'd like to know whether adding 8gb RAM or swapping the HDD with a SSD would help speed it up. Even with the i7 Processor its been running a bit laggy. I'm a bit on a budget so i can't do both :/

Thanks

Solution
Hi there
The problem lies with your current RAM installation. You should look at pulling the 1Gb stick out and replacing it with a 4Gb 1333MHz part. This will enable your system to run with 8Gb and Dual Channel, which will have a noticeable effect on performance.
