Hi, I've recently added my new SSD Sandisk 2.5" SATA drive into my system which already has a 3.5" WD SATA and an external USB Seagate SATA.

After doing a clean install of Win10 Pro, my AMD Phenom XII snapped a few times and shutdown immediately (burning smell). After removing the 3.5" SATA drive, it runs OK. Is the overheating problem due to installing too many drives? Would like to know exactly what the problem is...

P.S.: I still have another Buffalo external USB drive with some bad sectors but can still run fine and I may wanna install that too!

If so then I think it's Win10 Pro which is causing a lot of stalling. For example when i was installing Avira AV and my internet connection was slow. Due to the stalling, i tracked my CPU temp going from 52 to 75 steadily. Similarly yesterday, while copying files from HD to HD, it kinda stalled (the files were not corrupt) and because of stalling, my entire system was shut down immediately (that's when I smell the burning after opening my PC case). This kinda blackout has never happened while i was running Win 7 64-bit. If still not the reason then I give up.
