Looking to get an SSD but I am running into the problem of only having SATA I's for connections. I was wondering if I could buy a cheap card for my pcie x1 2.0, that would be better than hooking it to a regular Sata at 1.5g. I know the sata will be bottlenecked bad.
Not looking to spend a whole lot. At the moment I am only getting 45-50mb/sec read times, so even a sata is going to improve it more than what I have now. I am planning on getting a Kingston sd300now 120gb and they run at around 450/mb read write speeds.
And any idea what I can expect as a speed increase from the crap I have now.
