Since you won't be re-installing the OS and I suppose you will be using for gaming, you won't need to go through any hustle of re-arranging your whole storage setup. You just need to
physically install and setup the SSD in your PC rig.
Afterwards, go to your Disk Management in Windows, where the new SSD should be detected as 'Not initialized'. The steps you need to follow are:

Initialize the SSD
2.
Partition & Format the drive
This should make the SSD accessible through the File explorer (This PC/My Computer) and you will be able to use it however you wish.
Don't forget to back up your important files somewhere off-site as well as on-site! Having multiple copies of your files will save you from the headaches of data loss.
