As such, they are currently an up and coming bit player, hats off to that feat of both surviving and developing DDR5 solutions.

While DRAM does not have as large of a graveyard as HDD, there are some notable names among the many (Intel exited 1984).

It seems I was wrong by a month or two about the start of actual DDR5 production at the new Nanya factory. That's my fault.

Price already jump quite a bit.

I remember Crucial Mx500 2tb was around 135 CAD in Oct, now not only it is difficult to find one, but price already hiked. Crucial own store sell it for 150 USD which means I am looking at 200+ CAD about 70 dollars jump.

This is quite a balancing act as on the other end of the spectrum they have less consumers who increasingly have less disposable income amd from the looks of it, that front will only get worse over the next 5 years.

This is straight price manipulation by samsung. We need more major players to really fight this out to get decent pricing. It all feels like a scam at this point.

Sort of like the oil companies do to raise gas prices.

Thanks for the infor, however my Amazon Canada prime membership doesn't work with AmazonUS. I will need to add another 30 dollars shipping & import duty on top of 143. Even thou it is list as 108 us dollars as it is on sale on Crucial website, I believe Crucial did hike the listing price to 149.99 US Dollars.

We know that this story didn't age well. Did TH push this for affiliate marketing reasons? Seems most of the information was not actual and prices decreased instead.
