Hello,

I'm searching for a new SSD (500gb / 1TB) to use next to my HDD to run games on. My OS is already on a 70gb ssd.

The thing is, I dont know what sata port i have to use for my new SSD. I know what SATA 3/2/1 means but cant figure out which one i have to plug it in. Ill provide a picture with my SATA ports and marked the cables with colours connecting to their drivers:
Blue - SSD 50gb (not using it, old OS driver)
Green - DVD driver
Yellow - SSD (running OS)
Red - HDD

My question: Which sata port can I use for my new SSD?

My PC: https://gyazo.com/c17a33c7ca7b44ca698bda2ece02c913

Thank you

Yes. The motherboard has 2 blue ports, 2 back ports and 1 red port. The two blue ones are the faster ones that your SSD will be faster on. Any hard drive will be fine on the other ones. Moving them around will not affect anything unless you move your boot drive around which is always best to have plugged into Port 0 or 1 depending on how your motherboard start off with port numbering. A lot of them start off with 0 but it is says Sata 1 - 5 then it is 1 if it said 0-4 then it would be 0.

So can i replace my HDD to the blue marked port, and plug my new SSD in the port where my HDD was in without screwing my HDD?
