BIOS but not Disk Management? Are you sure?
Please post a screencap of your Disk Management.

I've had this problem:
- SSD (samsung 850 evo) showing in BIOS, but NOT in Device Manager and NOT in Disk Management.

Fix:
- open Device Manager
- expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
- right click on Standard SATA AHCI Controller, select Uninstall
- reboot, after reboot drive shows up in Device Manager

Thank you soo much, this solution worked perfectly. As soon as I uninstalled all of the Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controllers and restarted everything appeared immediately following reboot. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!

This fixed the issue for me. You're a legend!

Makes me wonder what caused it in the first place.

I tried this exactly and now my windows wont boot anymore. I can only go through bios. I have a M.2 that I installed windows on and i was trying to have my SSD show up in device manager because it would only show up in the Bios so I tried your option and now windows wont boot. Please help

Want to say thanks, solved my problem. Now the SSD showed up in disk management and could format it as MBR/GDT.
