I hooked up a 256 ssd to my hp desktop and it would not recognize. This shows in disk management. SSD shows "A device which does not exist was specified" in disk management.

Can't do any kind of checking or anything on the drive as there is no access to it at all. The one thing I tried that showed the drive was going to diskaprt. But it showed 0 on the drive. Does that mean it's a fake with nothing in it? Or is there a way to fix this drive so the computer recognizes it.

Is it seen and recognized by BIOS and device manager ?
