Hello,

Is the SMART attribute "Reallocated sector count" working the same way as a HDD for a SSD disk?
Are those sectors past recuperation, marked as "bad", or are they working somewhat different and they can somehow be recovered?

One of my SSD is reporting 8256 (RAW value) reallocated sectors but the normal value is still 100.

5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct 0x0033 100 100 010 Pre-fail Always - 8256

Should I replace the SSD?

Thank you,

Solution
Relocated sectors on SSD are similar to those on HDD. It just means slightly different things.
SSD is expected to develop relocated sectors. This is normal operation.
On HDD - relocated sectors are considered pre-failure warning.

Diagnose your SSD with manufacturer supplied diagnostic software (not some generic one meant for HDDs).
