Question SSD speed up

Will SSD also speed up programs that are installed on HDD or just the programs on SSD?

So for example I have my os on ssd and I have my game on hdd, will it make my game faster or do i need to transfer my game to ssd to see effects?

the game won't run faster. it will load faster on ssd
