I got this 2 years old Silicon Power 2TB (SP002TBP34A60M28) that when I play a heavy game Marvel Rivals for example will disconnect itself? then windows still let me see the driver but i cant see photos or start the game again this is a drive just for game and photos. Using the Silicon Power Toolbox, Crystaldiskinfo or hwinfo64 shows that the drive has 100% health. Also I format the drive using the cmd. I already tried changing the slot of the drive, updating the motherboard bios, updating windows

windows event viwers throws these errors

Unexpected failure. Error code: 1B1@01010003

The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: D:, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolume6.

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation.

{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file D:\$Mft. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

My specs:
R5 7600
RTX 3080 driver 566.36
b850m x wifi asrock bios 3.25
32gb silicon power 6000mts
sn770 1Tb (OS drive)

This drive?

2 TB Drive

= = = =

Two year old used 2TB drive correct?

You posted that you formatted using the "cmd".

What specific cmd (commands) did you use?

Capacity is 1.9 TB with 1.76 TB free (92%)

Appears to be 8% "missing".

FYI:

My thought is that the performed format was not correct/complete.

Just hold on doing anything for the time being. There are members here that are very experienced and knowledgeable about disk drive related problems.

Allow some time for additional posts and suggestions.

yes that drive

yes i been using it for 2 years exaclty

diskpart, list disk, select disk, clean

yes it has marvel rivals so is not fully empty, before that i formatted using console command, sorry for the confusion

I been testing it for about 4 hours as my OS drive and marvel rivals hasn't crash so at this point I'm thinking that is the OS that got corrupted out of nowhere?

What do you mean "as your OS drive"? Did you install Windows on the SP drive? If you did that, you basically reformatted it, so you can't just rule out a problem with the previous formatting.

I just tested it to see if windows was stable and it didn't happen the same as game drive. What do you suggest me to do now?

I still don't understand what you did. Did you install Windows on the SP drive for your test, or did you install the game on the SN770?

If you installed Windows on the SP drive and everything works fine when running from that, I would suggest to boot from the old Windows (on the WD) and reformat the SP with Disk Manager (delete all partitions, create a new one and format it in NTFS). Reinstall your game and see if it works. If it's still crashing, the problem might be with your old Windows installation. If everything is fine, there was likely a problem with the previous formatting of the SP.

And if you tried with the game installed on the SN770 then still do the same as described above (use disk manager to delete all partitions on the SP, create a new one and format it). Reinstall your game on the SP.

Im sorry for the confusion

Yes i made a 1tb partition on the SP drive and I use it for windows and marvel rivals that is one of the games that i can recreate the crash.

I alredy re install windows on the sn770 and reformat the sp drive now im jus waiting for the game to download

How exacly can windows just mess up my drive/configuration without even installing a update?

My guess is that Windows was fine, it's the partition on the SP drive that was corrupted. You likely fixed it when you created the new 1TB partition for your Windows+Marvel Rival test.

I was using the whole 2tb without a partition about 400 or less gb in actual use when the problem started, so can they just become corrupted?i mean Windows starts to put that folder that only windows can access so it doesnt sound so crazy

Failing while gaming after a while, and then coming back after a restart....
To me, that suggests overheating.
the max temp that I saw is 56c without a heatsink because of my motherboard

ok so after reinstalling windows seems like it was working till midnight where I got this
the disk didnt show on crystal disk again, windows still show the disk and I could still play the game but withe the serialization error on my screen

I saw a post about a 24pin extension causing this error, now I unplug and plug all the cables and make sure they were well seated, is there any voltage that i should be looking?

forgot to add there wasnt corrupt data on the drive, i did a scan with windows cmd and sp toolbox

it seems that by reconnecting everything the problem was fixed I haven't had any crashes in a week so I leave this here in case someone has the same problem
