I have a Samsung 870 EVO 1Tb which I've had for 4 months without any notable problems. Few days ago whenever booting a game from that drive it takes absurdly long which even put HDDs to shame. Other drives work normally and when moved same games between drives. Yesterday, after a while, it just started to work normally, reaching 100s of MB/s read and write, but while the problem is occurring it barely reaches 1-2 MB/s and keeps at 100% usage.

How much free space do you have on the SSD? Does Samsung's Magician app say anything about a firmware update for said SSD?

We're going to need a little more info, please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

keeps at 100% usage.
If you're on Windows 8 or above, it could be a memoryleak for the OS or the controller for your SSD is thermal throttling.
