SSD taking 3 watts at idle

I had a Seagate SSD plugged into my other computer when the Motherboard died... now when I plug the SSD into this computer, the 5 volt rail goes from 12-13 watts to 15-16 watts according to my power supply, and it feels like the SSD is 45-50°C in a 25°C room... SSD is placed outside of the computer case

This is with just the power connected, no SATA cable... and when I connect it with the exact same SATA cable and slot as my Intel SSD, it's not being detected by the Motherboard

So... dead?

Somehow I seem to have had 2 power supplies, a Motherboard, and a SSD die at the same time... one CX500, a AX860i and I'm pretty sure this Seagate SSD is dead... the AX860i turned off 20-30 times over a period of about 3 weeks before it finally died... I had plenty of warning, but I thought it was my processor or memory that was shutting off the computer

Yeah... drive is definitely dead... it's taking 3 watts at idle when it used to take maybe a watt at the most at idle, and I can't get the motherboard to detect it

I think the CX500 might of killed the Motherboard... when I hooked it up and turned the computer on, I saw the power light turn on for a split second and then after that I couldn't get it to do that again... AX860i is a MUCH higher quality PSU.. so I doubt that killed the Motherboard, but it's not impossible... or it's even possible (but highly unlikely) that the Motherboard killed the two PSUs and then died shortly after... because the CX500 used to work perfectly fine but didn't when I hooked it up to the computer... kind of weird how the AX860i turned off about 20-30 times before it finally died, though

Video card is fine (holy cow, my video card has taken so much abuse and still works... I ran a stress test and got the power consumption for JUST the video card up to 600 watts.. yeah... the VRM temp went from 50 to 110 degrees in 12 seconds and then the video card started throttling... my video card doesn't shut off until VRM temp hits 135, but it throttles at 110... and I ran a bunch of other stress tests and abused the video card) and everything else seems fine... just the motherboard died and the SSD... and the 2 power supplies, but I RMAed the AX860i
