The forums are now back up after emergency maintenance. We believe the issues from the weekend should now be resolved but we'll be monitoring for any further problems. Thank you for your patience!
A hard drive test program says my Lexar 250GB SSD temp is questionable at 46C, I have done everything to reduce it, it was 50C, even put a 120cm fan on top of it. My 500GB HDD is OK at 31C, CPU is at 46C. Should I be concerned..?
A common top operating temperature for ssd devices is 70c.
The devices will slow down if necessary to keep from getting damaged.
Such high temperatures are only likely under sustained sequential operations; not something we commonly do.
