Hey guys, first time posting here after hours of continuous trouble shooting with my interesting problem regarding the installation of an SSD.

I just received a Asus ROG G751JT-CH71 today along with a Samsung 850 EVO SSD. Computer runs flawlessly with the factory 1tb 7200 RPM drive, however, when attempting to install an SSD I am having no luck.

The SSD does not show up as an available Boot option but is visible in the BIOS Sata configuration as a Serial ATA Port. It also shows up in the Device Manager under "disk drives," however, when attempting to create a volume label under Partition manager it doesn't show up at all. AHCI is set, I have tried updating BIOS, SSD is compatible, I'm not sure what is going on...

USB drives also rarely show up, I need to try several times before it finally detects.

EDIT: The SSD works and is detected by BIOS on other computers. Perhaps the computer is faulty?
Any ideas guys?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Have tried all of that. Doesn't seem to fix the problem. What I also find odd is sometimes even the CD ROM doesn't show up in the boot priority list. Motherboard must be faulty.
