SSD & Windows 8

I want to purchase a 240GB SSD and WIN 8

I also want to put a few select games on the SSD for loading speeds (BF4 primarily)

My question is; Can I install an upgrade version of win 8 even though my windows 7 is on another HD if I got the upgrade version instead? Would I have to install win 8 on my win 7 HD only? Am I stuck with choice of full version?

My goal is really just to rip out everything that exists before this and use the 1TB HD i have for storing other games (I want no other HD with an OS on it)

Yes, you can install the upgrade to a different drive than the Original, as long as you remove the OS off of the original.

Don't I have to upgrade the current win 7 first and then uninstall and install win 8 on new hard drive? Those instructions don't match exactly with what you said?
