Hello, I have a OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G 240gig SSD drive, it's about 4 yrs old.

This was my main windows 8 drive for awhile, but I replaced it when I got a new computer. I never went back and got all of my files off of it. So now when I attempt to connect this drive internally or externally through my voyager drive dock it will show up, and I can navigate folders even transfer small files for about 30-60 secs then the drive freezes or disconnects. I've ran dskcks and nothing comes back or it doesn't complete. I tried to update to the latest firmware but same thing it will start to load it then freeze half way through.
Any suggestions on getting this to work? It is under warranty, but I want to get the data off first.

Thanks

Hey there, fatalmeal.

Seem like it might have failed. If neither external nor internal connection is working and you're still having those issues like not being able to test it or update its firmware. You could still give it a try with another computer and test it with an SSD diagnostic tool, to see if the same thing happens.

Unfortunately if none of this shows any signs of normal behaviour, then I guess it's done for.

Please let me know how it goes.
