SSD working but not for an OS?

Im trying to install a 120gb Mushkin and cant seem to get it to boot?

- i set the SATA port to AHCI
- boot off the USB key with windows
- format, and install to the drive np... and reboot
- as far as i get

If i leave the USB key in i get the start of windows setup again, and with it pulled I get "no bootable hard drive".

with a normal spin drive i get windows installed no problem, seem to be only this SSD that has the boot problem but is still working?

I tried upgrading the firmware and slightly changed the behaviour but ends up at the same place.

and ideas?

At some point, we're going to need your builds specs, especially the make and model# of your motherbd.
