The SSD that I installed is working great. I have everything backed up, have made an image of the new drive and have discs for all programs. My OS is Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit.

I reconnected the old drive (former C) and it shows up as 2 drives, D and E, with the D drive as System Reserve and the E as local disc. There is no sensitive information on this drive.

What I "would like" to do is to just format the old C drive and have only 1 drive left and have it shown as the D drive. The amount of space on the partition D is 349 MB which is negligible on a 1TB drive. Therefore any way to get rid of this would be fine. As I mentioned, I would prefer that the drive that is left be labeled as D if this is possible.

I appreciate any comments or suggestions but please keep any suggestions rather simple as I am not a learned person as to this type of process. I get iffy when changing things.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions. Regards.

OK, Done. I can't believe how simple that was. Oh to be informed! It probably took all of 30 seconds. Many thanks for your help. BTW, many many years ago, I spent four years in USAF. Regards.
