Hi,

I am planning to Buy a SSD and my motherboard have M.2 slot.

I have MSI Z390 A PRO motherboard.

Please suggest which one i can go for as per below points

1. M.2 SSD or M.2 Nvme (i searched Nvme is lot faster than M.2 SSD)

2. SSD with heatsink or without heatsink

I need SSD for high end gaming

Thank you

Steam often flogs drives when downloading games. I see it with SSDs on my laptops, I see it with my RAIDed platter drives.

It's sounding like your SSD is the bottleneck in this situation, but I'm not sure how much of an improvement moving to another SSD might be. I suspect there would be a significant improvement, as you're running low on free space and 120GB SSDs often have quite slow random write performance.

Avoid ANY SSD that doesn't have a RAM or SLC buffer.
Can you please suggest any ssd in this situation.

Which is having Ram os slc buffer

NVMe is probably wasted if you're using it for gaming.
Value for money means the SATA interface would be the best choice.

If you can find a good quality NVMe for the same price and size, then may as well. Just make sure your motherboard can support the interface.
