So im about to get my self into waters of SSD-s for the first time (yes i know im kinda late to the party but here in my country its kinda expensive)
Now problem for me is that im kinda lost, because on market you have these M2-s or what ever they are + SSD and on top of that you have HDD-s

What would be best option for me:

Get my self 240gb m2 (as far as i know this one goes directly into motherboard) ( put OS , Steam and soo on)
+ get my self 1TB of regular SSD (was thinking about EVO 980 pro or 970 Plus ( i know these are kinda pricy soo if you have better options shoot it )

Or second option get my self 500 M2 and 500GB SSD

Maybe even 3th option where I keep my old HDD and have one of these options above + HDD on a side for stuf like some games that are old.
Either way if you guys can tell me whats the best option and what is enough of GB for a "casual" gamer.

Btw my specs gonna be

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600
GPU - RTX 3060 TI 8GB
MB - Gigabyte GA-B450M-DS3H V2 (AM4) (D)
RAM - 2X DDR4 8GB PC 3200 Team Elite
Power S - Corsair RM650 650 Watt 24 Pin ATX

Get a 240/500GB nvme m.2 for your OS and apps.
Use your hdd for storage.
Test.
If the hdd proves too slow swap it for a ssd.

I do not suggest anything less than 500 Gb. 240 is way too small to hold windows and a bunch of updates. Going to smile will lead to problems with windows

  1. What is the budget for this drive?
  2. What do you use this system for?
Well its gonna be used for Studying (programing like HTML, CSS, JS , Python nothing special) and ofc for games. 60% games 40% studying.
I was thinking to put 240gb m2 or maybe even as I can see people are saying 500GB for M2 because 240 is small and then put 1TB of SSD the one i wanted is Samsung 970evo (I know that one is kinda good)and on a side i would keep my old HDD because it works, but only for MAYBE old games and ofc storage for everything else : pictures, some apps that i dont care.
Im just asking here if this is good what i tought. Because i cant rlly spend money on M2 1TB because its kinda a lot of $

If a 500GB 970 EVO is within your budget, do that.

What IS available in your local market and budget?

Give us a list, and we can probably suggest the best one.
Tbh in reality my real budget is around 1300euros tho i could pull out credit and get 700euros more, which is kinda hard but duable. But its almost unreal to buy decent PC for 1300euros in Bosnia. It sucks but thats how it goes here

So what specific drives are available from the company you're getting the system from, and at what cost?

Avoid:
ADATA, Kingston

Get:
Crucial, Samsung, Intel
Dont see single intel, but this is what there is from Samsung and Crucial.

Think you can translate the site. and if you are from USA to convert into $ just go /2 the money you see , soo if its 500bam its 250euros or $

You've heard a lot of wrong things...:)
Thats why I came here again to ask. Last time i was about to buy 1060 6GB for my i5 4460 and i didnt know what to do either AMD 580 8gb or 1060 6gb and people told me 1060 and it was best thing i bought ever, and its still working amazing even tho i paid it 100euros used so im gonna sell my old rig for about 500euros and invest into new one :)
But yeah tnx a lot. Sorry for using your time, even tho you are here to help people 😀
