I'm looking for a very stable motherboard for a Q6600 with 2-4GB RAM. I will not be overclocking this motherboard, I would just like to upgrade my current workstation to something a little more stable.

The requirements for the board will be:

* stable! I need my system as stable as possible, I don't need a lot of features.
* At least 2 x PCI-E slots, one for graphs, and one for Areca ARC-1210 RAID card
* 2GB RAM support minimum, and would be good if it were stable running on 4GB

Any suggestions?

My current config is:

- 30" LCD Dell Monitor
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
- 2 x 1GB Kingston DDR2
- Geforce 7600 GS
- P5B Deluxe Motherboard
- Areca ARC-1210 RAID Card (PCI-E)
- 4 x 320GB HD RAID 10

If you want stable and don't intend to overclock, you can't go wrong with an Intel made board. Sorry don't have any specific models to suggest, but when it comes to reliability/stability Intel boards can't be beat.

The stability issues I'm currently having is when the server is booting. It is very flakey, and have to reboot several times before I can actually login to Windows.

USB devices regularly seem to have issues as well, sometimes they are detected, sometimes not.

Windows seems to crash when loading the file JGOGO.sys, which I believe has something to do with the driver for the built in RAID device, but needs the driver to detect the CD-Drive.

I'm not sure if these stability issues are due to my specific hardware configuration, however I'm doing an upgrade and want to upgrade to a more stable motherboard while I'm at it.
