So I downloaded new star wars battlefront beta and it won't let me play the game, it just crashes at start and it doesn't even get in the game. Here is the crash http://prntscr.com/8p98qg. I've repaired the game and done this http://prntscr.com/8p9bju as well but it still doesn't work...please help...by the way I've downladed the game like 10 hours before the release.

I'll try redownloading the game, it will take 3 hours to do so. Maybe it had something to do with that...I don't know. I don't get any error reports but this one, it doesn't even get in the game and it just shows "battlefront has stopped working"...there is no more than that.

When it stops working and the error pops up, there is a drop down item that says "View problem details" - you just need to click on the down arrow and take a screenshot then.

So I guess it's the "MSVCR120.dll" that needs to be downloaded and put somewhere?

Right, you probably have a problem with the one on your computer. That is the Visual C++ 2012 runtime from Microsoft.

You can download it from Microsoft at:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Try installing it, restarting the computer, and try and run Battefront again. Hopefully that will fix it.

Im having the same problem with Battlefront. I have tried installing Service pack one, updating my video drivers, I reinstalled the Visual C++ 2012 runtime, and I tried putting this command in the game properties in Origin "-novid -noborder -windowed". Nothing has worked for me. In my case as soon as i click play it does nothing and then pops up with the error.

At this point, you aren't missing much. The servers are still broken, so it's almost impossible to get into a game on either modes. I'm also semi-convinced that the lobbies EA has you join are just fake anyway, because all the players names seem to be the same.

I already had c++ 2012 installed so i removed and redownloaded but it didn't help at all. I'm guessing it's because of my system because it isn't even SP1. I'll be downloading new one after I complete all my games so I don't have to redownload them. By the way Archgaull thanks for the information, now I don't want to play it xD.

If its msvcr120.dll issue then indeed you must have your windows 7 service pack1 installed.... Windows 7 apps were running great untill win10 release...now it seems like microsoft using some tricks to force install service pack 1 since it has the ability detect any key hack software ... But this fake crash happen only for 64 bit applictions not 32 bit ... So if youre a pirated windows 7 user then dont give a damn about the game....im building my self a hackintosh now....
