'Star Wars Battlefront' First Look Next Month

I will not buy another EA title. Every game they make they overpromise and under deliver. EA, get your heads out of the sand and start making actual good games. Good games make money. If you focus on making games with the sole purpose of making money, the game will be terrible. If you focus on making really great and really fun games with lots of replay ability, you will make money without question. Stop making crappy games already.

I just want to see the massive space, to planet ground battles and how they will be worked into same map, where you have to capture (conquest) the planet, or defend by destroying the enemy fleet cruisers or something.

oh great another shoddy game made by EA who needs to stick to just sports games.
online requirement? nope, no thanks, gotta pay me atleast $10 an hour just to play an online game especially with bad internet. even then i don't think being paid to play is worth it at the price.
if it plays on a console then it's not worth playing on a pc until the hack for the console version comes out so you can play for free via pirating.
EA Ubi, hAxctivision, pirate to play only, not worth more than $10 for the entire complete game.
there goes your bandwidth cap for another month d/l this game also. oh wait, the server is down, yet again... thank god for BF and BF2 on disc no internet required.

I mirror the lack of confidence in this game capturing the fun of the previous ones due to EA's track record of consuming good game developers and replacing their oft great pc games with uber simplified teenagery stuff, as seen with Sims 4 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. I mean I understand it sells to people who would rather have a simpler experience requiring less mental effort, but I personally dislike it because I love and loved great games like DA Origins that required less button mashing and more keyboard thinking, not that simpler games aren't fun, like some MMOs, but if you're trying to fall in on the trail blazed by major hits like the old Battlefront series then you'd better make sure you don't just make it a generic wannabe. This just seems like it will result in an EA modded Battlefield game that will be missing key things from the original Battlefront games which gave them their allure. Of course I could be wrong and maybe they rally up the original guys who worked on the old ones and give them free reign to make a worthy successor, but I doubt it.

EA has the money and already considers itself to have won the DLC argument. They will probably make more money with this and continue think they are correct in their business model, because it has simply has worked so far. More likely the reality is that people are being sheepish in clearly expressing how DLC is ruining gaming by simply not buying the latest games, because most are kids and mankids and want to have the newest thing right now. I hope if people really don't like EA they'll show it with their wallets, but it's hard for a company to change when its business model still makes a ridiculous amount of money.

Speaking of that I just got my copy of Shadows of the Empire for N64, but yes that would be awesome to see in a modern engine.

Oh god. EA is making this game. There goes what would of been a great game if EA wasn't making it. I played some of the previous star wars games, the console and pc ones and they were really fun, but now EA is making on. I think they're gonna promise the world and then screw us over with a shitty, slow, glitchy, incomplete and broken game that's gonna take at least a few months of patches to become half-decent and then you'll have to pay again for the dlc's which give you content that should have been released with the original game. And then they will cover it up buy adding some new skins with it maybe. Disney please DON'T LET EA MAKE THIS GAME!!! The only bright side is that Dice is working with them so they might just give EA the wake up call they need.
We'll see when its released.
