So HOTS what took blizzard 3 years to come up with to fix glaring flaws with the game, and oh yea it costs 40$ completely fucks balance an still doesn't address sever flaws with 1v1 match making

Diablo 3... probably the most disappointing game I've ever played. Starcraft 2 wasn't any better for me either. Either I over hyped it all or they spoiled me the first time that I was fooled easily this time. $40 for a few new units and only one added campaign... yeah it's Activision.

Wow you might rip on Diablo 3 for some glaring standout reasons but Starcraft II is a phenomenal game and is arguably the best RTS there is today. It is well tuned, graphics are fantastic, presentation, cinematics and storyline are all very well done. The online multiplayer is fast and is immensely deep when it comes to strategy, tactics and builds.

Balance is something they are always messing with and testing out. If you were to even remotely imagine how insanely hard it is to balance such a fast paced game such as Starcraft II you would blow your brains out. Even the littlest change causes chain reactions, that can effectively make a strategy much more harder to pull off or give unfair advantages/disadvantages.

People band together and rip on Blizzard but there is so much the company does right, there are so many passionate people on their teams that are greatly talented. If you could just seperate yourself from the herd mentality, look at things as they truly are, though you won't, the world would just be a better place.

Call me when they have a battle chest with the whole game in it and ill buy it. Im not buying the game in 3 parts for 3 times the price.

WoW, dumbed down a brilliant game so people can hit lvl cap so much quicker than vanilla.
SC, im still figuring out why they are releasing the game in thirds, I got bored 2 years ago with it, why release the sequal now?
D3, there are plenty of forums about the mistakes here but i will pick on the fact i have to keep repeating the game to play harder difficulties.

Each game has been presented and modified to bring in regular income for Blizz. WoW = kid friendly, SC = spread those payments out, D3 = RMAH. The only game Blizz is making is 'how little work can we do and still make money off these chimps'.

You have obviously never heard of e-sports. Starcraft franchise is primarily that, not some weekend single player game. There are players out there who earned well over a million $ in SC:BW (it has been played for over 10 years in South Korea). Top 3 in SC2 have won over $300k in prize money each. Just think how much revenue Blizzard is generating from sponsors they sell tournament licences to. My problem is with the game-play-value vs my-hip-pocket. As you mentioned, Blizz has a ton of revenue from different sources and I feel like I have been personally ripped off by Blizz. As for what they are doing with all this money, well to me it feels like they are not making good games anymore (and not listening to their fans). Im dissapointed more than anything, hence my rants. /EndRants

SC 2 is the best strategy game ever. I dont know why everybody complains about the game and the price. Wings of Liberty took Blizzard above 100 million dollars, it's fair for them to get their money back. # years of development for Heart of the Swarm are not for free either. If you want the game there is always a way to find it for the right price. Newegg.com had a coupon for it, and I bought it for $19.99.
If you don't like the game or don't want to buy, don't do it, as simple as that.

Im back to broodwar.... Sc2, statisticly speaking, is a fail for gamers, and a gain for blizzard.
I am no longer interested in blizzard products.

I loved War3 cause the heroes bring another category in the strategy, but the game aged and after 8 years of playing it was about time to start something fresh. Part of the beauty of SC2 is the arcade menu where are so many good modes. Just modes like Battle Star, Nexus Wars, and Squadron Defense could be excellent stand alone game. The graphics, strategy, design, quality of play elevated this game above every other rivals.
