[citation][nom]Achoo22[/nom]This kind of statement upsets me. So, you're 13 years old and because none of your friends were playing PC games a decade ago means that nobody was? PC gaming was already a billion dollar industry ten and fifteen years ago, kid.[/citation]

ill guess ill have to re-phrase that:

When broodwar came out (1998), from my school (spain, Madrid), only 3 people in my class had Internet. (Internet cost depended on minutes used, like old phones).
The access was very limited into multiplayer (and also, not so many people had computers that could do anything apart from Microsoft Word for school.

The amount of gamers regulary seen in a battle.net server (europe and USA servers, Asia was a different story), would avarege from 150 to 1200. (aproximations).

Nowdays, ICCcup, the easiest server to acccess for high level gaming, has from 500 to 2000 broodwar users.
(Asians have fish server, but i cant count them into this).

So, if compared to 8 million in the first 2 weeks from sc2, im quite sure my statement is valid by a wide margin.
Also, call me kid if you want (i actually like that, cus i dont feel like im gettin old) but im 29 years old 😀.

[citation][nom]AncientNoob[/nom]raynor did died in the hots sp[/citation]

Really? Raynor dies in HoTs? (well, i mean, i guess it seems he dies).
Now thats something i would not expect... who is gonna lead the terrans now? Hmm... bad in a way, interesting in another.

And you know this how? The frigging game hasn't been released yet! And if it is true... MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!! Some of us would still like to play it without being told things like this.

[citation][nom]abbadon_34[/nom]Did everyone forever the BS about paying for the same game 3 times? Or splitting a game into 3 parts over 3 years so people forget and spent more money on the game? Or way they nerfed the Terrans and Protoss for "balance"? I love Starcraft, and I reallly enjoyed SC2 (until Raynor, my fav died) but lets not let them off the hook.[/citation]

Unless I got a secret ending, I don't think Raynor died. Or he did die, but I'm still in denial.

[citation][nom]Achoo22[/nom]I most certainly did not forgive them, and I never bought the game. Online-only, even for single-player, is retarded. I"m not sure why it got so much more attention in Diablo than it did here, but it's pure absurdity to require a gamer to login just to play the single-player campaign. I don't play WoW, and I've only ever really enjoyed Blizzards other games as single-player affairs, so I don't expect to ever buy another Blizzard game again.[/citation]
This is a bad rumor that just won't die!
You don't need to be online to play the campaign. You just won't get any campaign achievements for you battle.net profile. Which doesn't matter anyway. Lot of players only ladder(online matches against others) and have no campaign achievements. You can also play against the A.I.(computer player) offline as well.

And LAN play with friends works fine; provided the network has an internet connection.
