Starcraft 2 Starter Edition multiplayer

Hey, my dad and I use to play Starcraft all the time and i was wondering if my dad and I both had Starcraft 2 starter edition, could we play each other?

Yes in a custom game on a small selection of maps. You can play against each other or with each other against he AI but you cannot play ladder games against people you don't know.
