Yea, you are an idiot, seriously StarCraft IS NOT in the bargin bin 12 years after the fact, yea its price dropped but its never been in the bargin bin, what makes you think SC2 will be?

you want to know why SC and SC2 will not be in the bargin bin? its because you don't need a bargin for a reason to buy the game, SC is IMO the most EPIC game ever created, and from what i have seen of SC2 i can see it following that path.

besides stop complaining, if you want it cheap order it online, logic buy has it for $44 right now from what i remember.

[citation][nom]txmaddog[/nom]Anyone else notice the Ghost in the picture is Nova not Sarah.[/citation]
No, I was not looking at her face...

[citation][nom]greghome[/nom]Nice Trailer, epicTHey should make a movie with those CGIStarcraft the movie............FTW[/citation]

They could probably make a few movies with the story content from star craft! I'd pay to see it.

[citation][nom]salgado18[/nom]I might get flamed for that, but does anyone else here wish there was also a version like Mass Effect? Now THAT would be awesome![/citation]

it would be cool as a spin off but I would prefer the main series and story to stay in RTS formula.
Something like Starcraft Ghost would be fine

I pre ordered the Collector’s Edition months ago, I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ll defiantly be at the front of the queue for the midnight release, in fact I’m going to grab my sleeping bag and start camping out at the shop now.

That trailer made me so excited after I watched it, almost inappropriately so.

are they charging us for online play? i don't want the starcraft series turning into "WOW". i love warcraft 3 but not big on wow. i want to build my army and smash you not ally and kill dragons to get stuff.

[citation][nom]warfart1[/nom]Blizzards marketing has never really included game demos (with the exception of WoW), as for the price, $60 is standard nowadays.[/citation]

Starcraft had a demo.

Looks like a pretty epic mixture of pre-rendered and real time CG (am I the only one who realized this trailer isn't exclusively pre-rendered CG?). The pre-rendered segments look breathtaking, film quality, and the best I've yet to see from Blizzard. What's really amazing however is upon first viewing, it's not always immediately apparent which cut scenes are real time and which are pre-rendered. I think Blizzard did a magnificent job with the in game engine, especially considering it's DX9 and doesn't take a whole lot of graphics horsepower to run at decent settings.

It looks like an HD4770 is really all that's needed to run StarCraft 2 at max settings 1920x1200, albeit without anti-aliasing.

Battle.net for Blizzard's RTS games has always been free...

Unfortunately that deal ended about two hours after it was posted on Toms Hardware... I just barely missed it.

[citation][nom]halls[/nom]I must be the only person on Earth not excited for this game. Blizzard's unusually high price and lack of any plans for a demo are real deal breakers for me right now. That is a pretty cool trailer though.[/citation]

the beta was out since february, thats good enough for me

[citation][nom]trandoanhung1991[/nom]You know, you would've thought that the trailer's about some brand new super cool FPS game!!! And hell, I'd love to play an FPS based on this. Ya hear me Blizzard??[/citation]

Revive the SC:Ghost project please ;D

[citation][nom]greghome[/nom]Nice Trailer, epicTHey should make a movie with those CGIStarcraft the movie............FTW[/citation]

If you think the streaming one was good, you should catch ones played in-store! I happened to stop by Fry's in Fountain Valley and they had several trailer/movies playing on an HD TV (at least 50" widescreen).

BTW, that's also where the developers will be on Tuesday's midnight release.

[citation][nom]tsnorquist[/nom]The only reason I pre-ordered on Best Buy's site was due to getting two $25 gift cards that I'll never use there. I figure it's probably worth it for $13.00.But $64.00 w/tax is outrageous. I remember when you could get a good PC game for $14.99.[/citation]

Don't forget there's also a $100 Collector's Edition :O

[citation][nom]Intel_Hydralisk[/nom]All of blizzard's new releases have been $60 since Diablo 2. Nothing new, move along.[/citation]

I'm not sure where you got that from. I remember getting War-Craft 3 for $40 when it just released. WoW was something along the lines of $40-50. You of course may not live in the US and in a place where prices have always been higher.

In fact the moves to games being $50 wasn't too long ago so the $60 price jump and it becoming the standard price for games nowadays is actually shocking. The $60 price-tag is even more new for PC gamers as for a while even cross-platform games that were $60 for consoles were only $50 for the PC version for sometime. If I'm not mistaken MW2 may have been the first game to break that trend.

Though now that the topic is about $ I wonder what the other SC2 titles prices will be? Since they won't actually be expansions but rather standalone games and each can play on the same multi-player network it would be odd if they sported a $60 price as well. By then the first release would already dropped drastically in retail price so other than the single player campaign there is no other new content that hardly deserves a $60 price-tag. This would also enable people to just buy the first game and pirate the rest and still enjoy the SC2 experience fully.

Not for pc buddy. That would be for consoles because of licensing fees

[citation][nom]NuclearShadow[/nom]Wow that character in the article has a nice bum! Sorry just couldn't hold that in.Anyways I am excited and will be purchasing the game.[/citation]

i totaly agree,
a hell of a bum!!!

Another reason to revive SC: Ghost :sol: . I think they stopped because the game might not live up to Blizzard's standards and reputation.
