Oh darn, nvm. I misread it. it will be a future update. Anywho, back to my dlss mod.
The steam page for starfield updates says dlss is a future update. I got the mod installed again. However the game crashed doing an intense battle at a mining outpost. It makes me wonder if the actual update will be better than the mod.Odd it would say that since the hotfix release notes indicate DLSS is part of that update that came out today.
That said, I would have definitely uninstalled the DLSS mod first before installing the update. Otherwise you could get a problem with a user made DLSS mod conflicting with actual Nvidia DLSS implementation.
Mind posting a link to that, because the page I posted a link to above seems to indicate the hotfix they mentioned today has DLSS support for PC.The steam page for starfield updates says dlss is a future update. Well, all I can say is it's either a typo, or they mean the DLSS support will further improve with that next update. It could mean a lot of things, but I would guess it means the hotfix just has basic DLSS (nothing beyond DLSS 2 for example), and the next one might include DLSS 3. It would be nice of course if they'd clarify specifically what they mean though. It could be though that Nvidia asked them to be vague, and if they did, I would guess they might not be sure how long it will take to implement DLSS 3 properly. You would think since DLSS 3.5 has already been modded in by a user however, that it should be easy for Nvidia to implement. LOTS of mods are glitchy in ways though, and lack thorough testing. I think it's a good sign that Bethesda are intent on conferring with the big 3, Nvidia, AMD, and Intel, because there's a LOT to this game, and a LOT of places where things like DLSS might work well or not so well. Best that time is taken to get it right.Taken from the Steam Community Page:
