Start Menu Issues

I want to get programs to the left side of the start menu but I cannot, I know you need to drag the icon down to the start button and then drag and drop it but when I try it gives me the red circle with the line through it. Any help is appreciated.

You mean pinning them like in windows 7? pinning is now done on the right side or the tile side. The left side is for recently opened apps...

If you want the old start menu go to startisback.com and buy it. its like 3 bucks for a single license, 5 for 2 and 10 for 5.

Damn. didn't know that. I know sometimes pinning things to the start menu and task bar it won't do depending on the file. What are you trying to pin exactly?

Anything at all like steam, photoshop, chrome, etc. I have tried everything and I keep getting that nope not allowed icon. So frustrated. Does yours work?
