So far I had to buy the powersupply because my current tower power supply stopped working so since I bought it not too long ago I would like to use it. Bought the tower also.

Mostly looking for advise currently shopping for the best cash to power ratio. Willing to wait and see what are the price on black Friday. Even thinking of maybe keeping the video card for this year and change next year.

Looking for advice on different option I could look at.

Thanks

You can save some bucks by buying the Windows 10 key from ebay for about 3-5$. It works well and should save you about 150$. Rest of your build looks good. Don't forget the SSD though.

FYI, 3600 MHz RAM is very fast for Ryzen CPUs, I don't know how much luck you'd have getting it to run at that speed.. I would get some a ~3200 MHz kit that's on the motherboard memory QVL.

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.asp#Memory

Also, the Armor series are MSI's budget cards that come with cheaper coolers. I've seen a number of people complain that the 580 Armor can run kinda hot/noisy. You can usually solve/improve this through undervolting (with no impact to performance) so it's not a huge deal, but if you were hoping to overclock the card you may want to look into a different model.

Horribly bad advice. Those keys are not legit. Run win 10 unlicensed, until you can afford a legit key.

I'll look into it any alternative I can look at? I mean I'll decide on exact model when I see a nice rebate. Ryzen seemed a better bang for the buck so i want wit h this one.

Thanks

I honestly not sure what to aim for on motherboard and ram. I know how to look at teh benchmark for CPU and GPU and base my choice on those but for this I'm never sure what to choose... Any good suggestion? Honestly took that one for the store MI technology to pair my 120SSD drive to my 1tb mechanical drive and hopefully get good performance and not have to buy a 500ssd drive. Also wanted to eventually add a third monitor to my setup.

Else than that really just went with the price... :/ On newegg they try to bundle them with the asrock x470 series in some way. Not interested inrunning SLI/Crossfire in anyway so, thought that quality of motherboard was less important.

For the RAM the V series at 3600 were just 10$ more than the 3200 ... figured it would be better in the long run.

I just put it there to show what I was gonna run for OS. Already settled on that front.

Every B450 motherboard will have StoreMI. That mobo is fine, I think this one would be ok too: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/pBWfrH/msi-b450-a-pro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-a-pro

As I said above, for RAM get a kit that's on the motherboard's supported memory list close to 3000-3200 MHz that you can find for a decent price.

Edit: I should clarify, the choice of motherboard makes essentially no difference on performance, other than possibly affecting max overclock and/or memory speed. For the most part you can just get whatever mobo has all the slots you need that you can find for a decent price.

You can bring the price down there, I would stick with the pro 4 , its easily the best budget board out there in that price range.

I honestly think that seasonic is a little weak to be running a 580 on, it'll work but I'd look at replacing when you can afford to personally.

I am running them in two of my PCs. Never had a problem. And obviously only buy them from reputed sellers with good reviews.

So I guess this would be my best bet? Would I be better served in that price range in intel/nvidia?
