You missed El Salvador. Or don't you consider that a nickname?

Oh, I just got what you were referring to with that. It went
right by me before.

I'm not sure that would be a nickname. I'll have to think about
it. Right now, I'm inclined to reject it.

Please don't ask me why, but when I suggested that name I was thinking of
Rich Hall.

He might not be a comedian, but he turns up on
http://groups.google.com/groups?as_uauthors=Wales&lr=&hl=sv.

(I knew that I had seen that name.)

I don't think he's "famous" (except on the comp.lang.fortran), but
there's a fellow over there named Richard Maine

Apparently, there's an actress called 'Egypt'

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1737559/

and seven people with the surname 'Laos'

http://www.imdb.com/find?q=Laos;nm=on;mx=20

and six Tibets.

Keith has found the way to do it, I guess. Do people searches on
IMDB. I thought I'd found a trivia question that computers would
not be very useful for. Or at least Google isn't much help unless
you have some other characteristic of the suspected person such
as a second name or occupation.

Anyway, there's 20+ people named Spain on IMDB (I didn't bother
to look at the entire list). But such searches are tedious to me,
since I'm still not on a broadband connection. Also, using the
computer rather than my own memory or our collective memory takes
most of the fun out of it.

If you're taking stage names, there's also the (in)famous exotic
dancer of the Centenial Exposition "Little Egypt" and "Tokyo Rose" of
WWII infamy.
