Question Static Electricity Motherboard

While I was swapping my power supply, I touched the pcb of my motherboard. I did not feel a shock, but when I touched metal later, I felt a shock. Could my motherboard be damaged?

Best practice that I have always done is to touch the case first before touching anything (and take off your socks if you are on a carpet). This would ground yourself.
