Solution
IP addresses must be unique you can not assign the same to multiple machines.

I am confused as to what you are trying to do.

My best guess is you do not have a router.

You are only given a single ip address from the ISP. The function of the router is to share that ip between multiple machines. If you hook a switch directly to a modem the ISP will only give one of your machines a ip address.

Your path must go isp---modem---router---switch---pc

If the device you call a modem is actually a modem/router in the same unit then you will have to be more clear what you problem is.

Hi Bill. Thank you for the answer.

Clarification: We have a 1 Static ip address to access the internet but when i put the LAN cable to the switch all of PC that connect to the switch always no internet access, but i put the static ip to every machines(PC). Please advise what are we going to do. Thank you

As bill001g said, you need a router. The only time plugging a switch into a modem works is if you bought enough static IP addresses for all your devices (and you want all your devices directly connected to the Internet). So in your case you'd have to buy 20 static IP addresses.

If you want all the computers on your LAN to share a single static IP address, you need a router.

Thank you Bill..

In the router settings i used TP Link Router. May i ask what settings where i put the static IP? In the Lan settings or in the Wan? and how DHCP works? to share the internet access?
Set up is: Modem-Router-Switch-PC's

Thank you very much for your response.

Thank you for the response.

It is possible to have a internet access but in static ip when i use a router? Setup: modem-router-switch TIA..

You want to set up the router's WAN with the static IP address. Also any account and login settings if your ISP requires them (they usually do with a static IP address). The router will then share that single IP address with your entire LAN. The router takes care of DHCP (unless you've disabled it).

Hi Solandri..

Yes i want to set up a router using Static IP address. do i need to disable the DHCP setting in the router setup? what settings should i do in the router? (WAN>LAN>DHCP) where i put the static ip address in that section?

You want to leave the DHCP enabled on the lan side. This will assign all the private ip addresses to your end pc.

On the wan port it has the option of static or dhcp so when you change it to static it will automatically disable the dhcp. There are 2 DHCP on the router. The one you get from the ISP on the wan....this one you are not going to use. The second DHCP server is your router providing for you local pc

Goodevening bill. Thanks for your response.

Please see attached link photo for the router set up.

When i disable the DHCP settings and input the static ip on wan. It is possible when the lan cable i inserted it to the switch it has an internet access without any changes in ipv4? Thank you.

It should just work. By default the router has a block ip 192.168.1.x that it will send to all your pc through the switch.

I can not say how you set the wan setting on that screen. My guess would be to set it to simple static and set the values. If you get stuck you might have to get the ISP to help. Some require userid/passwords others do not and you can just set the ip and it works

Hi Tia,
For this first you have to configure the static ip(public ip) on your router as provided by ur ISP,
If you are using 20 pc then i suggest you to take Switch (L2 or normal switchs)
which have 20 port on it, i suggest u buy cisco or dlink as you want.
just take the lan port of router and connect path code(ethernet cable cat5/6)
and directly put on any port of the switch(gig port are better)
you dont have to config the switch use as a normal switch.
and connect to all of your pc.
