Steam Corrupt Download for Fallout 4

Hi everyone. I have a problem updating my fallout 4 from steam. I've googled and searched on forums about it and tried to change the download server from somewhere overseas, unplugging my wifi adapter, manually deleting steam... I want to know what else there is left before I resource to a complete clean install. If that even works. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions!!

what is the exact problem? does download fail or just not happen?

Have you tried deleting your data on hard drive via the steam menu and get a new copy? right click game in steam library, select properties, Local files, and click the delete local game content button - I don't klnow if this will help, it might give you an uncorrupted copy

Reinstalling win 10 just cause a game won't install seems a bit much
